DUNBIA LEADS NI IN UK TOP 100 COMPANIES

Dunbia is leading the way for Northern Ireland in the prestigious 2015 Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100 league.

Only two companies from Northern Ireland made it into the Top 100 with Dunbia ranking highest at No. 76.

“To be listed in the UK’s Top 100 companies is a reflection of the strides which Dunbia has taken over recent years to grow the company,” comments Mr Jim Dobson, Dunbia Group Chief Executive.  “We first joined the ranks of the Top 100 league in 2011 at no 93 and have risen steadily each year since then.  Key to our success is our long-term partnerships with some of the UK’s largest retail multiples, a strong focus on developing export markets and perhaps most importantly an excellent work-force.”

Dunbia recently announced a £27m expansion plan for its operation in Dungannon which will increase overall productivity levels, support export growth and create over 200 new jobs.

“Dunbia operates in a highly challenging market place,” adds Jim Dobson “but we have ambitious plans for the future to support our continued growth and ongoing success.”

The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100 league ranks Britain’s top 100 private companies with the biggest sales.  Dunbia recorded a 6% rise in sales to £764 for the year ended March 2014.  The company currently employs almost 4000 at 12 sites across the UK and Ireland.
