Halal Slaughter Hall Op

Location: Dungannon

We require Halal Slaughter Hall Operatives to work in our Dungannon Primary site to carry out Halal slaughter on bovine animals. The successful candidate will report to the Slaughter Hall Manager.

The Role

  • Must be competent in carrying out the slaughter of sheep in accordance with Halal guidelines;
  • Involvement in the slaughter, dressing and evisceration of cattle and sheep in accordance with animal welfare regulations and DARD guidelines;
  • Ensure production runs efficiently by working as a team;
  • Maintain Health, Safety, Hygiene and food quality standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations.

The Person

Essential

  • Previous Halal slaughter experience is essential;
  • Must be a determined individual and willing to learn;
  • Possess good communication skills;
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a production environment is desirable;
  • Ideally possess at least 1 years’ experience in a slaughter hall environment;
  • The ability to demonstrate knife skills is advantageous;

 

This role operates on a Monday to Friday basis however some weekend work may be required.

All candidates must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand.
